Sizes

The Ben hat comes in 4 sizes and 2 lengths:

• Classic: shorter and snug, closely follows the shape of the head with 2–4 cm negative ease

• Beanie: more relaxed fit, slightly wider and longer

Size 1: 46–50 cm | Size 2: 51–54 cm | Size 3: 55–58 cm | Size 4: 58–61 cm

Gauge

• Classic version: 20 sts × 30 rows = 10 cm in stockinette stitch (in the round)

• Beanie version: 19 sts × 28 rows = 10 cm in stockinette stitch (in the round)

Note: Row count is not critical, as the hat’s height can be adjusted to your desired length.

Yardage & Recommended Yarn

The hat is knit with two strands held together:

• One fingering weight yarn (e.g., Wooliette Portofino, Cybèle, or Bellezza)

• One lace-weight yarn (e.g., Mohair & Silk, Silky Lace Yak, Silky Lace, or Silky Lace Stelina)

Classic version: 150 m of each yarn
Beanie version: 200 m of each yarn
